Hey Coaches,
Both the Men’s and Women’s tournaments are at the Final Four. I have been watching the various styles of play, and I have been seeing a lot of teams running DDM concepts.
What concepts have I been seeing: Pitch (Kickback), Blur Cuts, Ghosts, and Iverson Cuts, and various sets to create gaps for players to get the downhill attack that is so key to having a great drive and kick offense?
I have been sharing sets throughout the tournament on my social media channels.
In my latest YouTube video, I shared Five sets you can use that will create shots for a perimeter player, triple gap sets, and a post-up set. 1 set for every player on the floor.
In the Tournament here are some sets, and actions that have stood out from various teams.
Northern Kentucky - Horns Alignment
FAU - Horns Alignment
FAU - Through Cut, cutter goes to dunker spot, post flashes high a wrinkle on just a standard through cut.
Wisconsin in the NIT - Sideline BLOB into Wave action
Fairleigh Dickinson - Using thru cuts and brush cuts to create gaps and get a nice slot backdoor
Furman uses the Pitch with a 45 cut to get the downhill attack
Iowa WBB - Iso Clear for Caitlin Clark
