Today is Dribble Drive Motion Monday and I went live on YouTube and inside our Dribble Drive Motion Hoop Talk Group to discuss the Drop Series for Dribble Drive Motion Offense.
Dribble Drive Motion is known for three areas on the court for what the players will be doing in relation to those areas. The 3 areas are Rack, Drag, and Drop.
The Drop zone is used when your player(s) cannot beat their man and get to the rim.
The Drop Zone becomes a 2 man game with the ball handler and corner player or ball handler and post flashing to the elbow.
Today I went over some teaching points to prevent turnovers, tips on finishing more and actions you can use out of this area of the floor.

Drop 2 - The basic backdoor with PG driving and stopping and the players reading to go backdoor based upon how they are guarding them.
Drop 23
Great action if your 3 man is being denied to set it up by using a kickup with your 2 and then running the drop (backdoor) with some false action first.
Drop 25 - This backdoor action is under-taught in the Dribble Drive and uses some Princeton components by using a dribble at to set up a slot backdoor.
