OB plays vs. 2-3 Zones
It's that time of year when you making that final push for the playoffs or a league title.
This is the time of year when everyone is scouting, and one of these may come in handy towards the end of the year. If you can win the OB struggle against your opponent, it may be the difference between moving on to the next round.
Here are our 5 OB plays against the zone that will get you a nice shot.
Play # 1
4 Flat vs. the 2-3 zone
Play # 2
Box set weakside dive to distort the zone and makes X4 have to make a decision on weak-side.
Play # 3
Box Set with a flare screen to get your shooter a 3. This needs to have at least 7 seconds left in the game to run.
Play # 4
Common Formation to attack zones is a line formation this is designed to get you a post touch and layup. You have that post player you want to get the ball here is a great way to get the ball inside vs. 2-3 zone
Play # 5
The final play is a wide box configuration with a lot of alternatives if they don't get through the screens. You have open 3 point attempts if they don't get through the screens. However, on this play, you're utilizing them as a decoy to send your 4 guy into the zone's soft area for an uncontested 8-footer.
Best of luck to you the rest of the way!
