Small Sided Games - Arc Finishing Series
These drills improve attack mindset, finishing and decision making for drive and kick principled based offenses
One of the questions I get asked a lot about installing the Dribble Drive Motion Offense is how do you do it?
After I teach the whole to the team I like to break it down by using small-sided games.
Today I would like to share with you some of the drills we have been using the last couple of weeks at practice.
Arc Finishing Drills these drills can be used 1 v1 , 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4. They are similar to the popular blood drills but are use in the half court or as many baskets as you can use based upon your staff size.
Arc 2 on 2 I like doing this one, making our players go left because we struggle. The drill is live once player 1 gets to X1's outside shoulder.
Keys to teach is you want the driver to tight curl and foul X1 before X1 fouls them gets them getting use to being bumped and playing through contact.
Put time on the clock or play to a score. Put them in teams and flip it after each possesion.
Arc 3v3 my favorite drill of the arc series drills it incorporates more players and works on decision making do I score it, pass off to post, or do I play 2 man game with the corner player with all the options for the Dribble Drive Motion Offense.
Yesterday, I went live on my YouTube channel and inside the DDM Hoop Talk Facebook Group breaking these down and more variations of the Arc Series
