During the NCAA Tournament, I have been watching for teams that run actions that will work for Drive and Kick Teams.
I am a big Dribble Drive Motion offense guy. So I am always looking for ways to create gaps, spacing ideas, and ways other coaches create driving opportunities.
UCLA Coach Mick Cronin has a special player in Jaime Jacquez, and he uses various formations and actions to create a gap and iso situation for him
Jacquez is great at playing βbully ballβ in the paint using Barkleys and his footwork π£ is exceptional.
Letβs take a look at some of the Iso sets that UCLA uses for Jaime Jacquez
DDM Pitch - Tradition Pitch concept here off Dribble Drive Motion 4 out 1 in spacing with the post in the dunker spot opposite the ball.

Zipper Iso - Using a zipper down screen to get him a catch near elbow area. This is a great area of the floor to get your player a catch for drive and kick opportunity.
Horns Clear Iso - The Horns Alignment is becoming a popular alignment to create iso elbow catches
Check out our latest YouTube Video on the Horns Over Series for another way to get your playmakers the ball in space.
Double Zipper Iso - Stagger Zipper screens into a catch on the move is very difficult to guard.
Pindown - Using a simple pindown by putting your playmaker in the dunker spot area to the nail gets them a shot or rip drive opportunity of a poor closeout.
Fake DHO Keep - This action is great versus teams that like to switch.
Rub Iso top of key - I really like how they incorporate a rub inside ball screen here to free up Jaime.
On my social media channels I have been sharing DDM Concepts I have been seeing so if you can help me out by:
